Accessing JHU resources from off campus

Use the JHSecure VPN to access resources on the Hopkins network from an off-campus location. However, these tools generally will not allow you to access certain resources such as Merlin or the registrar's student directory.

For bizarre and unknown reasons, the following trick will allow you to access everything, including Merlin and the student directory.

    • tip: if you install SwitchProxy and begin having problems with Firefox hanging, disable the "notify me of updates" option in SwitchProxy preferences.
